JUNIOR MEMBERs MONTHLY MEETINGS & EVENTS

2026 JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP EVENTS ARE HERE! We will have a monthly meeting for all ELC Junior Members! Each month we will have a special guest speaker from all different areas of PA Hunting, Fishing, & PGC. Our goal is to teach our junior members a variety of skills & knowledge to stay safe & be prepared for all future outdoor activities & how to respect wildlife & the outdoors!

  • TAXIDERMY | SUNDAY, MARCH 1ST | 2PM

    Taxidermy - Our first Junior Members event of 2026! Preparing your trophy for the taxidermist. How to successfully ready it for mounting.

    Mark Skiles and Josh Black, local certified Taxidermists, will be speaking.

  • DELTA WATERFOWL | SUNDAY, MARCH 22ND | 2PM

    Delta WaterFowlers - A local waterfowling group will speak on hunting waterfowl in our area.

  • .22 RIFLE SHOOT | SUNDAY, APRIL 19TH | 2PM

    .22 Rifle Shoot - How to safely handle, shoot and then clean your 22 rifle. We'll have targets and prizes!

PA HUNTER-TRAPPER EDUCATION CLASS

In order to receive a Pennsylvania Basic Hunter-Trapper Education certificate, students must successfully pass a multiple choice/true-false exam with a score of 80% or higher. Curriculum for both the in-person course and the online courses covers ethics and responsible hunting behavior, basic firearm safety, basic shooting skills, wildlife conservation and management, basic firearm and archery hunting techniques, outdoor preparedness and fur-taking basics. The in-person course is offered free of charge.

This is a six-hour training class required by law for all first-time hunters and trappers before they can buy a license. You must pass a certification exam at the end of the class to complete this training.

*IMPORTANT! In order to prepare for your class, read Chapters 1, 4, 5 and 9 located at Today's Hunter & Trapper in PA.
